Engage African American Pastors in the deep south in HIV prevention and treatment to decrease HIV rates in HIV hotspots including urban and rural areas.
This project is led by Dr. Amy Nunn, an Associate Professor at Brown University School of Public Health. This project is funded by a Supplemental grant from the Centers for
AIDS Research (CFAR) – NIH. The proposal has as its aim to engage African American Pastors in three Deep South states (Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi) in HIV prevention
and treatment to decrease HIV rates in HIV hotspots including urban and rural areas. Dr. Pamela Foster, the Principal Investigator of Project FAITHH, is an Investigator in
this Project.
Ending the HIV Epidemic
This project supports a radio program called “A Woman’s Worth” which highlights issues
around HIV prevention in African American women. Dr. Pamela Foster is the Principal Investigator in this project, and the funding comes from the Alabama Department of Public
Health to Afram South, INC. where Dr. Foster is a co-founder.
